Wednesday Night

Youth Group

What to Expect

At FBC we are passionate about students growing in their love and knowledge of Christ. Our Wednesday night programming provides relationship building activities, a Gospel-centered message, singing, and breakout groups that focus on understanding and applying the message.

Sunday School

9:30am - 10:25am

What to Expect

Our Sunday School hour offers a great opportunity for students to grow deeper in their knowledge of Christ. Here we instruct and equip students for the Christian life. Lessons include a blend of Christian Living, Doctrine and Bible Overviews.

Where do I go?

At First Baptist we seek to use all of our facilities for the glory of God and the good of His people. It is a blessing to have The Willis Recreation Center to take advantage of during youth group nights. The Willis Recreation Center has a full gym, kitchen, a game room, and a loft that is divided into middle school and high school teaching areas. Come in and join us on a Wednesday night!

Lake Effect 2023

Jan 27, 4pm - Jan 28, 10:30pm

Middle School Winter Retreat
Grades 6-8

We will head to Lincoln Lake Baptist Youth Camp for a weekend of fun and learning together. Food is provided. Dinner on Friday night and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday. Our middle school retreat is only one night so we will be back late on Saturday to get all the activities in with one night.

We will have the event staffed with male and female chaperones from our group and Lincoln Lake will have additional volunteers for food, teaching, and activities. All volunteers are vetted through background checks and references.

We have two main focuses of camps like this, digging into the Word of God and building lasting relationships.

Digging into the Word.

This is a great time to dig into the Word together during the chapel sessions and small group time.

Building relationships with one another.

Their activities include our indoor hockey on the ice in the Quonset, night tubing on our lighted hill, indoor 9-square in the air, cocoa in the game room, as well as themed challenges. Saturday afternoon will provide enough time for students to play some snow football, win the hockey tournament, or warm up by the fire in the game room.  There are tons of opportunities to connect with friends and youth group leaders.

For more details please visit Lincoln Lake's Website.

Cost: $70 total; $25 deposit due at registration.

Registration Deadline: Sunday, January 8

Deep End 2023

Feb 17, 4pm - Feb 19, 2pm

High School Winter Retreat

Grades 9-12

Digging into the Word.

We will have a weekend focusing on Bible Study Methods.

Students will have opportunities to have their questions answered by submitting them to the “tough Qs” box throughout the weekend. We hope and pray that each student who attends will be encouraged and challenged through Scripture.

Building relationships by getting away.

We will be renting out a retreat center at Cran-Hill Ranch. There are separate wings in the facility for girls and guy bunks and the basement is a rec. center. The lessons will be held there as well and we will walk to the dining hall for meals.

There will be many activities depending on the weather. Ice skating, broom ball, cross country skiing, game rooms, tubing. These serve to create awesome opportunities to build relationships and grow closer together as a group.

Cost: $80 total; $25 deposit due at registration.

Registration Deadline: Sunday, January 29

Register online, physical forms are available on Sundays and Wednesdays at the Welcome Center and Youth Center

Middle School Youth Group Lessons

Our Middle School Students are journeying through the Bible Chronologically in 3 years using the Gospel Project Curriculum.

Our leaders ensure that the lessons are meeting students where they are. As students go through the Bible they will see how it all points to Christ, and they will be challenged to grow deeper in the understanding and love for Jesus.

High School Youth Lessons

Our High School students are looking at the topic of technology and how to approach it wisely as Christians. We will explore this topic from many angles as we view it through the lens of the Biblical worldview categories of creation, fall, and redemption.

As with all our series, we aim to apply Biblical truth to the lives of teenagers and continuously point students to Jesus Christ!

Meet Pastor Nick

I am Pastor Nick, the Associate Pastor here at First Baptist. It is a joy and privilege to be able to serve First Baptist in the area of youth ministry.

We pray that the youth ministry of First Baptist has students who love the Lord, desire to learn more about Him, and are passionate about telling others the hope that is found in Christ alone!
