What: Secret Church is a simulcast put on by David Platt where one topic is taught on for a lengthy period of time. It is broadcast around the world, so churches and youth groups will be learning together at the same time. The topic this year will be "Scripture and Authority in an Age of Skepticism" it will be answering questions like: How did we get this holy book? Who decided what would and wouldn’t be included in it? How do we know it’s true? Are there any errors in it? Is it necessary? Is it sufficient? Is it authoritative for my life? How can I understand it?

We will eat before the broadcast, have snacks available during the night, and provide a light breakfast.

Where: We will be together in the Willis Center to begin the night, Secret Church will be streamed at the Willis Center from 6:30pm-12:30am, then guys and girls will separate into the Willis Center and Main Church Building.

Girls will sleep in the upstairs of the Willis Center, Guys will sleep in the fellowship hall of the church.

Why: This is a discipleship heavy event with a lengthy period of teaching. The purpose is for students to grow in their knowledge of God.

Cost: $5

Where do I go?

At First Baptist we seek to use all of our facilities for the glory of God and the good of His people. It is a blessing to have The Willis Recreation Center to take advantage of during youth group nights. The Willis Recreation Center has a full gym, kitchen, and a loft that is divided into a lesson area and a table game area. Come in and join us on a Wednesday night!

I am Pastor Nick, the Associate Pastor here at First Baptist. It is a joy and privilege to be able to serve First Baptist in the area of youth ministry.

We pray that the youth ministry here has students who love the Lord, desire to learn more about Him, and are passionate about telling others the hope that is found in Christ alone!

Current Wednesday Series

Each Wednesday we are diving into the book of 1 John. Our youth lessons are true to the point of the passage, Gospel-centered, and applied to the lives of the students.

Attention Parents

At First Baptist we understand that you, the parents, are the primary disciplers of your students. We do not try to replace your God-ordained role, but instead seek to support you by coming alongside in the discipleship process and, by His grace, see each student become a mature follower of Christ.

Part of how we join you is by sending weekly parent email updates so that you can be fully informed about what is taking place. These emails include summaries of lessons, small group questions, and upcoming events. If you are a parent of a student and would like this update, please email Pastor Nick at to get on the list!
