What to Expect
Our Sunday School hour offers a great opportunity for students to grow deeper in their knowledge of Christ. Here we instruct and equip students for the Christian life. Lessons include a blend of Christian Living, Doctrine and Bible Overviews.
Our Middle School students will be heading to Lincoln Lake for Lake Effect this year. This is a great winter retreat where students grow in their relationship with Christ and one another.
Our High School students head up to Cran-Hill Ranch where we run our own Winter retreat. This year's focus will be on dating and relationships. Our deep end retreat allows us to give deep into a single topic for the weekend and look at what Scripture teaches. Due to the nature of this topic, parents will receive a packet one month prior to the event with lesson information.
Cost: $60, early registration. $75 Late registration.
At First Baptist we seek to use all of our facilities for the glory of God and the good of His people. It is a blessing to have The Willis Recreation Center to take advantage of during youth group nights. The Willis Recreation Center has a full gym, kitchen, and a loft that is divided into a lesson area and a table game area. Come in and join us on a Wednesday night!
We are working our way through the Apostles creed discussing the truths that have been central to Christians throughout the ages.
Our High School ministry is not simply focused on the what, but we want to answer the why. We seek to equip students to live for Christ firmly grounded in knowing what they believe and why they believe it.
Our Middle School Students are Journeying through the Bible Chronologically in 3 years using the Gospel Project Curriculum.
Our leaders ensure that the lessons are meeting students where they are. As students go through the Bible they will see how it all points to Christ, and they will be challenged to grow deeper in the understanding and love for Jesus.
I am Pastor Nick, the Associate Pastor here at First Baptist. It is a joy and privilege to be able to serve First Baptist in the area of youth ministry.
We pray that the youth ministry here has students who love the Lord, desire to learn more about Him, and are passionate about telling others the hope that is found in Christ alone!
At First Baptist we understand that you, the parents, are the primary disciplers of your students. We do not try to replace your God-ordained role, but instead seek to support you by coming alongside in the discipleship process and, by His grace, see each student become a mature follower of Christ.
Part of how we join you is by sending weekly parent email updates so that you can be fully informed about what is taking place. These emails include summaries of lessons, small group questions, and upcoming events. If you are a parent of a student and would like this update, please email Pastor Nick at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list!
