Sundays at First Baptist

Going to church on Sunday isn't about fulfilling a dry duty. We come together because God is our highest treasure and it is our delight to worship Jesus Christ the Lord from the depths of our hearts, in spirit and in truth. We come together to be fed and nourished by the inspired life-changing Word of God. We come together to build relationships with one another that help each other become the men and women God saved us to become. We come together to be equipped to live out the callings God has given to each of us. We come together to go out again to live as followers of Jesus Christ 24/7 in our daily lives.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."  -Hebrews 10:24-25

AM Worship Service (11am)

The 11:00 AM Worship Service is our main service and the heart of our time together on the Lord's Day. The worship service includes passionate music and Biblical preaching. The goal of the worship team is not to put on a performance but to lead the congregation in God-centered worship. This is a church where you can hear the people sing from the heart! Pastor Nate preaches clear messages from the Bible with the conviction that it is God's truth that you need to hear. Salvation and hope are found in the God's Word.

Services typically conclude between 12:00 and 12:15pm. Many people stay for a while after to talk to friends, old and new.

Breakfast Cafe (9:00-9:30am)

Start your morning with the Breakfast Cafe at FBC! Join with others for food, coffee and fellowship on Sunday mornings starting at 9:00am. The menu is different every week but past breakfasts have included pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausages, donuts, and more.

We ask for a donation of at least 25 cents per item to help cover costs. The cafe is located on the main floor at the north end of the main building. The Cafe stops serving food at 9:30 so that everyone can finish before Sunday School at 9:45.

Sunday School (9:45-10:45am)

One of our deep values is for each person to be continuously growing in their knowledge, love and obedience to God's Word. Therefore, at FBC we have Christian discipleship classes on Sunday mornings for all ages, all year round. These classes also help us build relationships with one another. We highly encourage everyone to make this a regular part of their weekend!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Each week we will look at one of the big topics from FBC's statement of faith. Pastor Nate and Pastor Nick will explain it in a down-to-earth fashion and answer the following questions:

  • What does this mean?
  • Where does the Bible teach this?
  • Who might believe something different than this?
  • Why does this matter for my life?

If you are a new Christian or are wondering what FBC is all about, this series is perfect for you!
